The Waring parents are here for a short short holiday vacation. It’s just a week, and is nearly over already, but it’s been just absolutely packed – from the Monteverde Quaker Christmas traditions, including an all day barbecue team, a christmas dinner, a community gift exchange, a hike to thermal pools, gigantic strangler figs, epiphytes, lianas, humming birds, an agouti, a coatimundi, a toucan, a resplendent quetzal, toucanets, great-tailed grackles (and their songs), a rainbow, and splendid views of Puntarenas Bay. We’ve also done some relaxing, and playing and reading with the kids. Here’s a small sample.
