Colorado Snaps

Tim and I are on our drive back East while the kids enjoy a week of camp in Spokane. We’ve culled our photos and are posting some of our favorites from each region of the trip. Here’s Colorado.

Tim goes on a run with Morgan, Wendy and the doggy.

In Ouray, Colorado, which is pronounced “You-Ray.”
The view from the tent in Mesa Verde.
Boulder, CO, with the Moschetti Peters crew.
The Million Dollar Highway passes a few old mines. Look closely. This landscape is defined by mining activity.
We don’t know what, but they are beautiful.
Chef daddy.
Chef Mommy.
Aspen grove.
This is what life is like for a tree on the slope of an avalanche-prone mountain. Not easy.
Mesa Verde didn’t have wooden ladders when it was in use 800 or so years ago, but these are still fun!
Mesa Verde habitations, beautifully protected from the sun under the rocky overhang. Hard not to be impressed.
